ASEATTA Quality Assurance Program



A. Cells for Serology HLA-Class I and Class 2 typing and T and B cell Crossmatching

This QAP consists of
• 16 cells for HLA serology Class I and 2 typing annually (2 cells 8 times per year (March-October))
• 12 T -cell crossmatch exercises (2 serum sent 3 times per year to be crossmatched with 2 cells from the above cell exchange each time)
• 12 B-cell crossmatch exercises (2 serum sent 3 times per year to be crossmatched with 2 cells from the above cell exchange each time)

B. Sera for antibody detection

This QAP will consist of 12 serum for antibody analysis. 4 sera will be sent in the months March, May and August.

C. DNA for HLA-Class 1 typing

This QAP consists of a total of 18 DNA samples annually (3 samples 6 times per year). DNA is supplied according to a roster of defined ASEATTA member laboratories.

D. DNA for HLA-Class 2 typing

This QAP consists of a total of 18 DNA samples annually (3 samples 6 times per year). DNA is supplied according to a roster of defined ASEATTA member laboratories.

E. HLA-B*57 DNA QAP (joint program with the RCPA)

This QAP consists of 15 DNA samples annually (3 samples 5 times per year) (commenced: June 2007).
In 2008 the HLA-B*57 QAP will be a joint program with the RCPA, details for enrolment in this program will be posted on the ASEATTA web site when available.

(all pricing inclusive of 10% GST for Australian based laboratories and 10% extra courier cost for overseas laboratories)
